剧情：詩人步入一黝黑甬道，石室中微光閃爍，令人如何想像，六十年前此處砲火隆隆？1959年，洛夫在金門戰火硝煙中，開始寫作《石室之死亡》，在後來的六十年，這首超現實主義代表詩作掀起台灣文壇風起雲湧。2000年，創作三千行長詩《漂木》，打開華人詩壇長詩的歷史新頁。將屆70年的創作生涯，洛夫一再突破既有格局，試煉意象的魔境。 本片試以「詩與戰爭」切入主軸，佐以《石室之死亡》「一首詩十行」的詩體例，以《石室》前十首詩句選段，構成全片詩意綱領；同時引用洛夫與友人書信，交叉呈現其青年、中年時代畫像。團隊追隨洛夫重訪金門坑道石室、回到湖南衡陽的鄉愁現場，更記錄移民加拿大後的洛夫生活家常。「詩魔」的飛揚與沉潛，俱在其中。

Plot：River Without Banks (2014) takes poetry and war as its main theme. As homage to Death of a Stone Cell, the film is structured into ten segments; each led by the first lines of the first ten stanza of the poem. Correspondences between the poet and his friends are incorporated throughout, taking the audience back and forth between Lofu's youth and middle age, only to eventually depict a full picture of the protagonist. The camera follows Lofu on his trips back to the bomb shelter and tunnel in Kinmen and his hometown Hengyang in Hunan Province of China, while also capturing his daily life in his adopted country of Canada. Acclaimed as the Wizard of Poetry, Lofu shares through the film of the most insightful reflections.
