剧情：浓密之夜，空调维修师傅王学明（彭于晏 饰）驾车回程途中，不慎撞到一个突然冲出的男子。为了避免追责，他将男人抛在路边，扬长而去。次日，风韵犹存的梁妈（张艾嘉 饰）来到喧嚣吵闹的派出所，向陈警官（王砚辉 饰）报告自家男人失踪的事。偶然听说此事的王学明心怀愧疚，他偷偷弄坏了梁妈家的空调，随后假借修空调之名登门，却面对这个似乎并不太过悲伤的女人三缄其口。只是看似平凡的交通肇事逃逸，其背后还隐藏着离奇的杀人事件。南方小镇，溽热黏湿，却又寒气逼人…… 本片为导演宁浩担任监制的坏猴子72变电影计划中的一部，此前上映的有《绣春刀2》《我不是药神》和《受益人》。
